1. Controller

For webinars run by organisers, the controller of viewer data is the organiser (the brand named on the webinar page); webinarstart.hu acts as processor. The organiser's own notice is available on the webinar registration page.

2. What we process and why

Interest, plan generation and account requests on the home page: name, e-mail, company, the description you enter and the generated plan — legal basis: consent and pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b)). Retention: until consent is withdrawn, at most 2 years.

Webinar registration and viewing (on behalf of the organiser for organiser webinars): name, e-mail, registration id, viewing data (join, watched share, clicks, survey answers, chat and assistant messages) — legal basis: consent and the organiser's legitimate interest in running the webinar. Retention: per the organiser's settings, at most 3 years.

Checkout purchases: billing name, address, VAT id, order and payment data (we never see card data; the payment provider does) — legal basis: contract performance and accounting obligations. Retention: 8 years (Hungarian Accounting Act).

Organiser account: name, e-mail, password (hashed), team members, trial and subscription data — legal basis: contract performance. Retention: 90 days after account deletion.

Technical logs (IP address, browser, time) for security and abuse prevention — legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention: 30 days.

3. Recipients and processors

E-mail and automations: Hírlevelek.eu. Payments: Stripe, Barion, SimplePay (OTP Mobil) — as chosen by the organiser. Invoicing: Számlázz.hu. Video: YouTube (Google), Vimeo, Bunny Stream. AI assistant: questions are processed together with the webinar knowledge base by a language model (Ollama Cloud); answers are informational. Hosting: —.

If the organiser enables it, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Conversions API also receive events (registration, viewing, purchase), for which the organiser obtains consent. Transfers outside the EU rely on appropriate safeguards (EU–US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses).

4. Cookies and browser storage

The webinar room keeps playback position, language and whether a dialog was already shown in the browser's local storage — needed for operation, not for tracking. The admin uses a session cookie for login. Marketing cookies are set only by the Meta pixel if the organiser enables it, after consent.

5. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent — at the e-mail above or via the unsubscribe link in e-mails. We answer within 30 days. Complaints may be lodged with the Hungarian DPA (NAIH, naih.hu) or a court.

6. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, signed webhooks, per-brand access separation, logged events. In case of a personal data breach we notify the supervisory authority within 72 hours and, where required, the data subjects.
